A note from the artist:

It seems like I was born to sew. I started sewing at the early age of three. I was lucky to have a mother that was both a seamstress and a tailor. I remember my very first project, an apron sewn by hand. But I just couldn't wait until my mother would allow me to get behind her Singer. As I grew, so did my love for all of the great fabrics that surrounded me.

Because my mother had her own business, making clothing, bridal gowns, school uniforms (marching bands, and cheerleaders) I received most of my training in these areas. For many years when my children were young I made a lot of their clothing. I also made all of our window treatments and various home décor decorations as well. So I had a good foundation in sewing using a variety of fabric types and skills.
